Every believer gets tested and this is not a once-off experience but you will be tested on many occasions. Your testimony of faith is to learn how to be an overcomer and therefore, you need to learn to fight in the spirit. The bible has all the answers to every situation in your life.
Does fear rule your life? What will be your testimony if you give up? Do you pray and hope that the bad experience will just end. Furthermore, we are more than overcomers in Jesus Christ. For example, Philippians 4 verse 13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Is fear a part of your testimony of faith?
A trial or tough experience tests your faith, patience, and endurance. Besides, how will you have a testimony if you did not go through a testing time? Pray, walk in faith, and trust God. You are stronger through Jesus who strengthens you. The spirit of fear will always try to prevent you from obtaining victory, but keep your eyes on Jesus, your mind on the scriptures, and walk victoriously. Let the image of overcoming be your goal.
2 Timothy 1: 7 says, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and self-control.”
The victory is yours through Jesus Christ
Believe what the bible tells you and walk in the faith that fear cannot control you. Then, when your test of faith comes, let the scriptures speak against the spirit of fear by you quoting the word of God. You can triumph in any circumstance if you believe and do not give in to fear.
Jesus rebuked the wind and told the sea to be still when the disciples were overcome by fear in the storm. Likewise, as a believer in Jesus Christ, you have the same power to rebuke the spirit of fear and calm the storms in your life. You can have peace amid any storm if you believe. With this in mind, let your testimony be that of an overcomer in Jesus Christ. Fear is all around us, but cannot overcome us if we do not let it overtake us.
Does your testimony include faith?
Mark 4: 40 He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? Do you still have no faith?”
Lastly, let your faith in the power of Jesus Christ rule and reign in your life. Faith compels us to act in obedience to the word of God and for this reason, it is important to read the bible so that you know what to do and how to act in faith.
